It wouldn’t take long to get to school in Paul Stender’s jet-powered school bus. School Time is equipped with a massive Phantom jet-fighter engine with the power of more than 250 family automobiles, propelling the 35-ft (10.5-m) bus to speeds more than 350 mph (560 km/h). Turbine-crazy Paul has also built a 10,000-horsepower Dodge pickup that can reach 400 mph (645 km/h), and a jet-powered outhouse featured in Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Seeing is Believing.
